Modalities Hide

Depending on your needs, Bryanne offers:

− Deep Tissue
Myofascial Release
Pranic Healing
− Reiki
− Shiatsu
− Swedish

Deep Tissue – Integrated with other massage techniques, Deep Tissue massage soothes the sub-layer of musculature and fascia. Muscle relaxation is very important in order to effectively perform deep tissue massage, otherwise tight surface muscles prevent the deeper musculature from being reached. This technique helps with chronic muscular pain and injury rehabilitation and reduces inflammation-related pain caused by arthritis and tendonitis.

Myofascial Release – Using sustained pressure and movement within the fascia, Myofascial Release acts as more of the ‘Yin’ modality compared to the ‘Yang’ of Deep tissue. This very subtle yet affective approach locates the tension within the fascia with gentle pressure and direction. Myofascial Release is an effective therapeutic approach in the relief of cervical pain, back pain, fibromyalgia, scoliosis, neurological dysfunction, restriction of motion chronic pain, and headaches.

Pranic Healing – Developed in the Philippines, this new science of bioenergetic healing is a system of energy medicine that utilizes prana (or “life-force”) to balance, harmonize, and transform the body's energy processes. This is done by evaluating the eleven chakras and removing the devitalized energy. This invisible bio-energy or vital energy keeps the body alive and maintains a state of good health. All work is done off the body and sessions are painless.

Reiki – Reiki is a hands-on energy healing art. Hands are placed on or just above the client’s body in order to activate healing energy within receptive points on the body where the therapist acts as the channel for the life force (ki or chi). The hands then move progressively with a passive touch through twelve positions on the body, remaining in each position for three to five minutes. As a harmonic flow of energy is strengthened, within the client and practitioner, healing occurs through the return of physical, mental, and spiritual balance.

Shiatsu – Similar to acupressure, shiatsu concentrates on unblocking the flow of life energy and restoring balance in the meridians and organs in order to promote self-healing. This is done through a finger-pressure technique
utilizing traditional acupuncture points. The treatment brings about a sense of relaxation while stimulating blood and lymphatic flow. The benefits of the treatment may include pain relief and a strengthening of the body’s resistance to disease and disorder.

Swedish – Swedish massage is designed to energize the body by stimulating circulation. Five basic strokes, all flowing toward the heart, are used to manipulate the soft tissues of the body and reduce friction on the skin with the use of oil, lotion or cream. The many benefits of Swedish massage may include generalized relaxation, dissolution of scar tissues adhesions, and improved circulation, which may speed healing and reduce swelling from injury.
